Use
In this customizing activity you can define a key for your own Records Management area that you want to use for Enterprise Content Management (ECM).
The key is taken as short ID in the ECM database tables for performance reasons.
Requirements
Standard settings
SAP deliveres preconfigured keys according to the delivered standard RM area IDs:
S_AREA_RMS Records Management
S_AREA_RMPS Public Sector Records Management
Activities
If you are using one of the standard RM areas, then you don´t need to do any settings.
If you are using a customer specific area for your own Records Management application, then define a abritary numeric one-digit key for your own RM area.
Note: Do not change a once defined key that is in usage. Otherwise, the whole data base table for ECM integration would be invalidated and needs to be initialized again.
