Document
Document Class | SIMG | Hypertext: Object Class - Class to which a document belongs. |
Document Name | DOCFINDER_SRM |
Use
This IMG activity is relevant only if you want to offer a search across all element types. Note: This type of search is only possible for element types that store their elements with the Knowledge Provider.
In this IMG activity, you make an assignment between a Document Finder document area and an element type that uses the Knowledge Provider to store your documents.
You must perform this IMG activity for all element types that you want to involve in searches. You must then combine the document areas assigned to the element types in an aggregated document area. To do this, use the IMG activity Customizing for the Document Finder -> Register Document Areas and Create Aggregated Document Areas in ArchiveLink Customizing. You then enter the aggregated document area as a value for the connection parameter DOCUMENTSPACE. This enters the area as an element type of the service provider SRM_SP_GEN_DOCUMENT. You can then start searches from an element type of the service provider SRM_SP_GEN_DOCUMENT.
Requirements
You must have created a document area for each element type that you want to search. To do this, use the IMG activity Customizing for the Document Finder -> Register Document Areas and Create Aggregated Document Areas in ArchiveLink Customizing. Enter the class CL_DOCF_KPRO_QUERY for each document area. At runtime, this class reads the search attributes from the content model of the element type assigned to the document area (see below).
