Use
Use this IMG activity only if you want to implement your own service provider for Records Management. For more information, see the special documentation The Records Management Framework -> Service Provider Implementation Guide. This documentation is in the SAP Service Marketplace Media Center under the alias recordsmanagement.
The overview is structured as follows: The top level has the nodes System Registry, Application Registry, and Worklist.
- System Registry:
The second level has folders for class roles and service provider types.
- Application Registry:
The second level contains the areas. The area S_AREA_RMS, delivered by SAP, is relevant for Records Management.
The third level contains the classification parameters (yellow icon) and the service providers (blue icon) of the chosen area.
The fourth area contains the values of the chosen classification parameter or the element types of the chosen service provider.
- Worklist:
Empty by default. Here, you can enter the entities that you use the most.
Requirements
You have implemented the classes of the service provider. This IMG activity registers the classes with the framework.
You have the authorization to maintain the registry. For more information, see the SAP Library under SAP NetWeaver Components -> Records Management -> Role Maintenance -> The Authorization Concept for Customizing.
Standard settings
Activities
To register a service provider, proceed as follows:
- Position the cursor on an area and choose Create Service Provider.
A dialog box appears.
- Enter an ID and short text for the service provider. If you are creating a service provider for Records Management, choose the service provider type SRM_GENERAL.
A dialog box with tabs appears.
- Under Properties, choose an icon (instance) for the elements and an icon (model) for the element types of the service provider.
- Under Classes, enter the classes of the service provider and save your entries. The system makes the remaining entries automatically.
Other Functions
You can use the following functions for all entities:
- Copy to Worklist
Copies the entity to the Worklist node.
- Copy to Data Selection
The registry displays only the selected entity (and any other entities selected with this function). Use this function to reduce the display to those entities relevant to you.
- Check
The system makes an automatic check on all information about the entities. The result of this check appears on the right of the screen.
- Object Directory Entry
A dialog box appears where you can change the object directory entry for the entity.
