Use

In this IMG activity, you can define user-independent default values for Cutting Stock Transfer and Delivery-Related Trading Unit Change (DRTU).

Note
For both functions, you can choose Settings -> Default Values to define user-specific default values. The system gives these priority.

You can enter default values for the following data:

  • Movement types for the stock transfer
  • Movement types for the offcut
  • Type of updating for offcut quantities
  • Cost center for scrap

In addition, in field Scrap Limit in % you can define the maximum quantity of a material that can be posted as scrap for a cutting operation.

Note
The value that you define here represents the maximum value for the percentage scrap limit in the user-specific default values. This means, if you want to assign a user-specific value for the scrap limit, the value cannot be higher than the one defined here.

If you do not define user-independent or user-specific default values, the system uses the following data as the default values:

  • You most recent entries
    If you have used the function once already, the system uses the entries from your last session as default values.
  • Default values
    If you have used the function before, the system uses the default values; for example the setting Offcut is scrap for Offcut updatiing or the following movement types:
    • 309 for stock transfers without special stock indicator (own to own)
    • 413 for stock transfers from warehouse to special stock (sales order stock) and for sales order stock
    • 411 for sales order stock to warehouse
    • 551 for scrapping
    • 701 for inventory receipt
    • 702 for inventory issue

      You can also use these movement types as reference movement types if you want to create your own movement types.

Requirements

The transaction Cutting stock transfer and confirmation(MILL_CUT) must be permitted for the movement types in question. For this, you must enter this transaction in the Allowed transactions view in Customizing for Inventory Management and Physical Inventory under Movement Types -> Copy, Change Movement Types.
