Use

In this IMG activity, you can map values to any alert categories (object classes) that you have defined, or edit the value mapping of existing alert categories. You can determine the following:

  1. Unit of measure types with which to configure the alerts
  2. How an alert will be triggered

Example

Requirements

You have already done the following:

  • Defined the alerts, for which you want to map values, as object classes in IMG activity Define Object Classes
  • Defined object class IDs for the alert categories and added them to the object class hierarchy tree in IMG activity Define Unique Object Class Identifiers, Permitted Movements and Hierarchy

Standard settings

Alert categories and value mapping are provided with the standard system.

Recommendation

Activities

For each alert category for which you want to map values:

  1. Enter the site number in the Site field (TRM) or choose User defined from the Profile field drop-down list (other applications).
  2. Enter the object class number.
  3. Enter the unit type and select the threshold type.

Further notes

After mapping the values, you can configure the alerts via the alert monitor. For more information, see the Configuring Alerts chapter in the relevant SAP Library documentation.
