In this step, you can configure the search function used to search for objects in Room Reservation Management. There are three possible settings you can make:

  1. Under GENER you can specify that the system displays a confirmation prompt before searching an entire plan version (value 1).
  2. Under LMODE you can specify that the system searches for objects in the database in the logon language only (value 0), or in all languages (value 1). In the latter case, the search is carried out first in the logom language and then in other languages according to the sequence specified in table T778L (Supported Languages).
    If you enter 2 or *, the system searches in all languages.
  3. Under SMODE you can specify whether the Possible Entries function offers all options (the search function, structure search, and the standard matchcode (value 1), or only the options stored by the system per object type and per user the first time the function was used (value 0).

Standard settings

  1. The default value for the switch GENER is 0 = no confirmation prompt is displayed.
  2. The default value for the switch LMODE is 1.
  3. The default value for the switch SMODE is 1.

Recommendation

You should set the switches GENER and SMODE both at 1 if you want to prevent the system accidently searching all objects.

Notes

The settings you make here are valid for all application components.
