Use

This Business Add-In (Add-In) is used in the Task and Resource Management (LE-TRM) component.

This Add-In enables you to modify verification profile checks that are executed for a specific execution step.

Before the physical screen is displayed, the verification profile for the corresponding logical step is determined according to your settings in IMG activity Define Control Screen Layout. A standard verification profile supports five verification fields with corresponding services.

This Add-In can be used to do the following:

  1. Add new verification fields in addition to the standard verification fields
  2. Change the verification procedure for the standard verification fields. For example, if you want to verify the material by EAN, but some materials are lacking EAN labels, you can define another value that will be used for verification in those cases, such as the value of the bin.

The Add-In refers to the following data:

  • Logical transaction name
  • Transaction step name
  • Display profile
  • Worklist (tasks with corresponding data from the host)

The Add-In returns the following:

  • In the case of errors when processing new verification fields, the corresponding application field name that can be used in the error message text
  • In the case of specific verification procedures, the new verification value compared to the user-entered value

Example

If you want to verify an additional field, such as a batch, execute the following steps :

  1. Add a new verification field next to the application field to be verified
    (refer to Add-In LMBP_WKLS_POST_PROCS ).
  2. Add a verification value for this field in the Add-In.
  3. Compare the defined verification value with the user-entered value.

In the case of an error, the Add-In returns the application field name to be displayed in the error message.

If you want to use a user-defined verification procedure, a new verification value must be defined in the Add-In. The verification value is processed in the standard way.

Activities

After you call the IMG activity, the system displays a dialog box where you enter a name for the implementation.

If implementations of this Business Add-In have already been created, the system displays them in a dialog box. You then choose one of them by choosing Create, and continue as follows:

  1. In the dialog box, enter a name for the implementation of the Add-In and choose Create.
The system displays the initial screen for creating Business Add-In implementations.
  2. On this screen, enter a short description for your implementation in the Implementation Short Text field.
  3. If you choose the Interface tab, you will notice that the system has populated the Name of the Implementing Class field automatically, by assigning a class name based on the name of your implementation.
  4. Save your entries and assign the Add-In to a package.
  5. To edit a method, double-click its name.
  6. Enter your implementation code between the method <Interface Name>~<Name of Method>. and endmethod. statements.
  7. Save and activate your code. Navigate back to the Change Implementation screen.
Note: You can also create an implementation for an Add-In and not activate it until later. If you want to do this, do not perform the following step:
  8. Choose Activate.
When the application program is executed, the code you created is run through.
