Use
You can use this process to construct resources for automatic devices that are defined in TRM as resource elements, allowing for the external logon of resources. Such devices may include the following:
ASR
Conveyor belts
Cranes
Requirements
You have already defined the following for the device in IMG activity Resource Management:
A resource element type as a device
A resource type with the desired qualifications, and the device resource element type as a standalone component.
You have used the TRM monitor to define a new resource element of the defined element type, with the defined resource type as the default.
Standard settings
Activities
Call function LTIF_RSRCE_EXTERNAL_LOGON, using the resource element, resource type, and site as parameters.
If the resource element is already active as a resource, its resource ID will be returned.
If the resource element is not already active as a resource, a new resource will be constructed and its ID returned.
If no resource type was entered, the default resource type of the resource element will be used.
