Use

In this IMG activity, you define the yard locations, including checkpoints, parking spaces, weighing points and any locations outside of the yard.

When defining yard locations, you can do the following:

  • Define the location class (mandatory).
  • Enter a name for the location (optional).
  • Define the physical location type of the yard location. This location type can subsequently be used to determine which vehicle type groups (and in which combinations and quantities) can be located at the location at the same time (optional).
  • Assign a Global Location Number (GLN) to the location (optional).
  • Assign the location to a yard location group (optional).

Activities

Define each location of your yard:

  1. Enter the yard number.
  2. In the Loc. Class field, choose the location class of the location.
  3. In the Location field, enter a name for the location.
  4. If you want the capacity of the location to be limited in terms of quantities of vehicle type groups, choose the location type. You can subsequently define a relationship between the location type and vehicle type groups in IMG activity Define Location Type - Vehicle Type Group Relationships.
  5. Enter the GLN, if any, of the yard location.
  6. If you want to assign the location to a yard location group:
    1. Ensure that you have yard location groups relating to the location class in IMG activity Define Yard Location Groups
    2. Return to this activity and enter the location group in the Loc. Group field.
