Use
In this IMG activity, you define the internal and external number ranges for vehicles, which are implemented in the system as HUs. You are required to do this only if you previously established that the assignment of HU identification is unique in this client in Customizing for Logistics - General -> Handling Unit Management -> External Identification -> Set Unique Number Assignment for HU Identification.
You subsequently assign an internal and external number range to a vehicle type group in IMG activity Define Vehicle Type Groups (Packaging Material Types).
When a vehicle belonging to this group is created, the system automatically assigns sequential numbers from the defined number ranges to the external HU ID.

Recommendation
We recommend that you establish unique HU identification assignment if you have vehicles, with the same IDs, coming from different forwarding agents.
Activities
- Choose Intervals (Change).
- Create a number range interval. If you want to create more than one interval, ensure that the intervals do not overlap.
