Use
In this IMG activity, you can define material groups for vehicle types/packaging materials, in which materials that are to be packed into similar types of vehicles/packaging materials are grouped together.
You subsequently assign the material groups to vehicle type groups/packaging material types in IMG activity Define Allowed Vehicle Types (Packaging Materials).
Example
A material grouping for hazardous materials may include all materials that are to packed into a certain vehicle type (such as a special container).

If you want to create a new material grouping for vehicle types/packaging materials, enter an alphanumeric key with a maximum of 4 characters, together with a textual description.
Further notes
You assign materials to material groups in the Basic Data 1 tab of the material master.
