Use

In this IMG activity, you define specific determination types for VAS templates. The determination types enable you to group VAS templates valid for a specific area. For instance, you could define a determination type called Inbound VAS, and assign to it a specific access sequence, relevant for VAS to be performed on inbound deliveries.

Standard settings

Recommendation

  • If you define your own determination types, begin with the letter Z, as SAP has kept this name range free in the standard system.
  • Do not change the determination types already contained in the standard system.

Activities

  1. Check the extent to which you can use the determination types already contained in the standard system.
  2. Create a determination type, either from the beginning or based on an existing one:
    1. To create a new access determination type based on an existing one, choose the line corresponding to the type and then choose Edit -> Copy As.. from the top menu.
    2. Modify the access sequence, assign it an alphanumeric key of up to 4 figures and enter a description.
    3. Enter an access sequence for the determination type.
    4. If required, determine the default date for condition record creation.
