The system updates the outbound delivery with data from transfer order (TO) confirmation. In this section you determine when this update takes place for each warehouse number:
- Direct update within the confirmation process for each transfer order item.
If you set this update mode, the system triggers the update within transfer order processing.
- Delayed update as soon as all items of a single transfer order are confirmed.
- Delayed update as soon as all items of all transfer orders referring to the outbound delivery are confirmed.
If you set delayed update of the outbound delivery (all items of one single transfer order are confirmed, or all transfer orders referring to the outbound delivery are completely confirmed), the system triggers the update using function module
LESI_TO_CONFIRM_DELIVERY.
Example
You manage the physical movements within your warehouse with RF terminals using the Logistics Execution System (LES). This means that the system confirms the transfer orders item-by-item.
There are two transfer orders referring to one outbound delivery. You have set Update if all TOs for a delivery are completely confirmed.

As shown above, you confirm item 0001 of transfer order 1 first, then you continue with item 0003 of transfer order 2, item 0001 of transfer order 2, and so on. As you have chosen to update the outbound delivery as soon as all TOs referring to this outbound delivery are completely confirmed, the system updates the outbound delivery after confirmation of item 0002 of transfer order 2, which is the last confirmed item of the whole outbound delivery.

Standard settings
Recommendation
If you use Task & Resource Management (TRM), we recommend choosing a delayed update of the outbound delivery to improve system performance. In this case, you set Update if all items of a TO are confirmed or Update if all TOs of a delivery are confirmed.
Activities
You determine for each warehouse number when the update of the outbound delivery takes place.
