Use
In this activity, you link the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to Task and Resource Management (TRM). You define for which movement types TRM is activated in your warehouse. When WMS and TRM are linked, transfer orders are transmitted from WMS to TRM, with TRM creating requests on the basis of the transmitted transfer order data.
Requirements
You are not allowed to link a subsystem directly to the WMS when you have also activated TRM.
- If you want to use TRM together with an external system, activate the TRM interface. In this case, link the external system to TRM.
- If you want to use an external system without TRM, activate the interface to the external system in Customizing for Warehouse Management, by choosing Interfaces -> External Systems -> Configure Warehouse Management -> Define Interface Control.

Recommendation
Activities
- Select the number of the warehouse for which you want to activate or deactivate TRM.
- Select the source and destination storage types for which you want TRM activated/deactivated.
- Select the movement type for which you want TRM activated/deactivated.
- To deactivate TRM for the particular storage types and movement types, select Inact.
Example
To activate TRM in warehouse number 001 for all movement types except 711 and 712 (difference postings), select the following:
Whn SrcTy DestTy MTy Inact
001 *** ***
001 *** *** 711 Select
001 *** *** 712 Select
Further notes
If a transfer order in WMS contains one or more items that are not relevant for transmission to TRM, the system automatically splits the transfer order. The transfer order items are distributed among two transfer orders, so that all transfer orders that are finally transmitted to TRM only contain items that are relevant for transmission to TRM. You cannot change this split criterion.
