Use

In this IMG activity, you maintain warehouse level settings that influence planned and opportunistic cross-docking in the warehouse.

Requirements

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Enter the warehouse number.
  2. Select 2Step XDck if you want to force two-step cross-docking for planned cross-docking decisions, even though the default (one-step cross-docking) is possible.
  3. In the Stor. type field, enter the identifier of the storage type you have designated for placing materials to be cross-docked in the case of two-step cross-docking.
  4. In the OppXDck field, choose one of the F4 help values to determine the applicability of opportunistic cross-docking in the warehouse.
  5. If you want the system to consider FIFO before implementing cross-docking decisions, select Consider FIFO.
  6. If you want to enable cross-docking in contravention of FIFO, enter a FIFO tolerance duration and unit of measure. The system will enable the creation of cross-docking decisions involving inbound materials, even in contravention of FIFO, as long as the discrepancy in the ages of the inbound materials and the materials already in stock does not exceed this tolerance duration.
  7. In the Time Ref. field, choose one of the F4 help values to determine the date and time reference for outbound deliveries that the system will use when calculating the default release time and default latest release time
  8. In the Planning Time Window field, enter a number (in terms of the unit of measure defined in this IMG activity) representing the allowed time window for linking planning and candidate documents.
  9. In the Default Release Time and Def. Lat. Release Time fields, enter numbers (in terms of the unit of measure defined in this IMG activity) to represent the amount of time before the outbound document date and time reference that the default release time and latest release time for outbound documents will occur.
  10. Enter the warehouse time unit of measure (UoM).

Example

Further notes

The value entered in the Time Ref. field determines the date and time reference for outbound deliveries only. The other date and time references used by the system are as follows:

  • Inbound Deliveries - Delivery date and time
  • Inbound and Outbound TRs - Date and time of planned execution of transfer request
