Use

You configure one or more LDAP Connectors with this IMG activity.

The LDAP Connector is an operating system program that creates the connection between the SAP system and an external directory service using the LDAP protocol.

If you run the LDAP Connector on an application server, you can monitor it using the Computing Center Management System (CCMS).

Requirements

You have set up a destination with the same name for the LDAP Connector.

Standard settings

The settings have delivery class L (local data). This means that they cannot be transport, but must be maintained separately in each system.

To achieve as good a performance as possible, we recommend that you set up an LDAP Connector on every application server. The application server and the LDAP Connector then communicate locally. It is therefore not wies to transport the settings beyond system boundaries.

For more information, see the SAP Library under SAP Web Application Server -> Computing Center Management System (BC-CCM) -> BC-Directory Access Services.
