With this activity you define how info objects are transported from the Knowledge Warehouse to another Knowledge Warehouse system.
You must perform this activity if you want to transport info objects to other systems.
Example
You want to transport info objects that were created in the Knowledge Warehouse in the Training area to another Knowledge Warehouse system that is only used to display productive contents.
Requirements
Standard settings
If you do not perform this IMG activity, "no transport link" is retained as default value.
Recommendation
Activities
- Perform the activity.
- Define an area of the Knowledge Warehouse in the "Model entity" field.
- Mark "Implicit transport" or "Query change request" in the "Attribute value" field.
- Save your entries.
Further notes
- Implicit transport
The system writes new info objects and revised info objects with status 'Released' to a transport request on its own. An info object is assigned to a request folder-by-folder, i.e. one request is created for each folder.
- Query change request
If info objects are created or revised and released, the user is asked to define a change request.
