With this activity you define the info object attributes for which there should be an authorization check for the attribute values.

Example

In the Training area (IWBTRAIN), you only want certain authorized users to be able to set the value "Released" for attribute "Info object status". You can do this by marking the attribute activity described here as one for which there should be an authorization check. You also have to include authorization object S_IWB_ATTR in the appropriate authorization profiles of the Knowledge Warehouse users.

Recommendation

If you want to use the workflows "Approval procedure" and "Copy editing" in the Knowledge Warehouse, you must reserve attribute "Info object status" (IWB_STATE) for the authorization check.

Activities

  1. Perform the activity.
  2. Define the Knowledge Warehouse area in field "Model entity".
  3. Define the attribute for which there should be an authorization check in field "Attribute value".
  4. If necessary, repeat steps 2 and 3 if the authorization check should take place in more than one area or for multiple attributes.
  5. Save your entries.
