With this activity you maintain roles and their authorization profiles.

Different roles are delivered with the Knowledge Warehouse. These roles contain the authorizations and transactions for different tasks:

  • SAP_KM_KW_ALL_AREAS_DISPLAY (Display documents from in areas)
  • SAP_KM_KW_ALL_AREAS_EDIT (Change documents in all areas)
  • SAP_KM_KW_ALL_AREAS_TRANSLATE (Translate documents in all areas)

  • SAP_KM_KW_KWNET_EDIT (Change documents in the Intranet Management area)
  • SAP_KM_KW_IWBTRAIN_EDIT (Change documents in the Training area)
  • SAP_KM_KW_IWBHELP_EDIT (Change documents in the Documentation area)
  • SAP_KM_KW_IWBMISC_EDIT (Change documents in the Management area)

  • SAP_KM_KW_QUALITY_CONTROL (Quality control)
  • SAP_KM_KW_RFC_CPIC_USER (users for KPro Web Server)

These roles can be used as template for customer-defined roles. To do so create copies of the roles with the profile generator and modify them as required. For example, you can restrict authorizations to a certain release or language.
