In the settlement profile you define a series of settlement control parameters. The settlement profile must exist before you can enter a settlement rule.
Recommendation
In the settlement profile, specify the residence time for settlement documents, for example. When determining the residence time, you should take the following into consideration:
Settlement documents take up additional memory. Once a posting period has finally been locked against posting in Controlling and Financial Accounting, settlement documents can be archived. However, you should wait for a certain safe-period, because the documents are required for cancelling settlements and repeating period closing.
Activities
- Create a settlement profile.
- For capital investment measure settlement profiles, check that assets and cost centers are permitted as settlement receivers (Details).
- Assign a settlement profile to the project profiles concerned. The system uses this settlement profile as a default value for related projects.
