Use
In this IMG activity you configure the header data of a claim type. You can either change an existing claim type or create a new claim type.
- To change an existing claim type, select it.
- To create a new claim type, enter a key that does not yet exist and a name.
At the level of Version you can define the following, for example:
- Name of the version of the claim type
- Point in time from which the version of the claim type should be valid
- Business Process of Internal Claim Type
- Setting When Required Field Check Takes Place
- Settings for duplicates check
- Value Request for Setting Claim Status
- Value Request for Setting Subclaim Status
- Value Request for Setting Payment Status
- Value Request for Setting Litigation Status
- Settings for policy validation
- Settings for premium check
- Settings for invoice processing
- Settings for payment and FS-CS interface
At the level of Permitted Causes you can define the fault of the insured from his/her own point of view for each permitted cause of a claim. When the user enters a cause on the Origin of Loss screen, the system automatically takes the fault defined here. The user cannot change the fault manually. Here you can only define causes and faults that have been defined in the IMG activities Define Cause of Loss or Claim and Define Fault.
At the level of Question Sequences for Facts Capture you can define facts capture categories. In the event that several question sequences exist for a facts capture category, you can control their processing sequence by way of a priority.
At the level of Permitted Categories Differences Log you assign a text object and text ID (in this context this is a category) to a claim item grouping category . During claims processing, in the input help for the relevant claim item grouping (an invoice, for example), the system displays the sample text modules of the text object and text ID that you assigned to this claim item grouping category. You can use the sample text modules for the differences log.
For information on the activities required previously in the IMG, read the documentation for IMG activity Differences Log: Assign Sample Text Modules to Category.
At the level of Permitted Diagnosis Catalogs you can assign the diagnosis catalogs that have been defined in IMG activity Maintain Diagnosis Catalogs, Diagnosis Groups, Diagnoses, and Additional Attributes .
At the level of Permitted Participant Roles for Interruption Periods you can define the participant roles for interruption periods.
At the level of Permitted Interruption Reasons you can define the reasons that you defined in IMG activity Define Reasons for Interruption Periods.
