Use
In this IMG activity you define the possible reserve groups that you want to use for setting up IBNR reserves.
In this IMG activity you only define the reserve groups. You specify the indicative areas for reserve groups in IMG activity Define Indicative Areas for Each Reserve Group Category for Reserve Groups.
Standard settings
The system requires the following settings to display results. They must not be changed:
- 1:CONTROL
- 2:DELTA
- 3:CURRENT

Reserve group A covers all insured males aged 35 to 40 with diabetes.
Reserve group B covers all insured males aged 45 to 50 with diabetes.
Reserve group cluster
Several reserve groups are grouped together in a reserve group cluster.
A reserve group cluster is the lowest level at which you can create reserves. At this level you also create a sequence and assign an IBNR driver.
In the following example the two reserve groups A and B are grouped together in reserve group cluster AB. In other words, they form a reserve group cluster for all insured males aged 35 to 40 and 45-50 with diabetes. This means that males aged 40-45 are excluded from this reserve creation.
