Use

In this IMG activity you define the possible morphologies.

Neoplasms were given special consideration in the second edition of the "International Classification of Diseases for Oncolology" (ICD-O), published in 1990. This publication contains a coded nomenclature for the morphology of neoplasms that you want to use together with the diagnoses in Chapter II of the diagnosis catalog.

In the ICD-O the morphology codes consist of five digits:

• The first four digits identify the histological type of the neoplasm
• The fifth digit, after a forward slash (/), identifies the behavior of the neoplasm (malignant, benign, in situ, and so on)

In IMG activity Define Permitted Morphologies with Diagnoses you specify which of the morphologies defined in the current IMG activity are permitted for which diagnoses.
