Use
In this IMG activity you can make settings for the participant roles prescribed by SAP. In addition you can define your own participant roles. Read the documentation below under "Standard Settings".
Make the following settings for each participant role:
- Key of participant role
- Long name of participant role
- Short name of participant role
- Note:
When you add a new participant role, you cannot define the long name and the short name of the new participant role here. You define them in IMG activity Define Names of Participant Roles.
- BDT Screen Sequence Category
Define the relevant screen sequence for each new participant role.
You do this
- for the screen sequence in expert mode in IMG activity Internal Claim Type: Define Claim Handler Group and Screen Sequences for Expert Mode
- for the screen sequence in all other modes in IMG activity Internal Claim Type: Define Claim Handler Group and Screen Sequences for Other Processing Modes.
- Specify whether manual addition of participants is allowed
- State whether this is a vendor role
- Specify how often a participant role may be assigned to a claim or claim subobject
- Specify whether a change to a participant with this role is allowed
- Assign subobject categories to a participant role. When you create a participant in this role in the Claims Management system, these are the only subobject categories that are available.
Example: The subobject categories Claim, Damaged Object, and Subclaim are specified for the participant role Claimant. You can then only create a participant in the role of Claimant for these subobject categories.
In the Implementation Guide (IMG) you can make the following additional settings for participant roles:
- You cannot change the participant roles supplied by SAP. You can only change the name and the short description of the participant role in IMG activity Define Names of Participant Roles.
- In IMG activity Define Characteristics of Participant Roles you can define other characteristics of participant roles.
- In IMG activity Determ.System Oper.Mode w.Creation of Claim Participants per Int.Claim Type you define the permitted participant roles for each internal claim type. Here you also define how the system operates when participants are created in the relevant role.
In claims processing you can only create a business partner in the participant roles defined here.
You need the participant roles for IMG activity Define Transaction Types for Procurement Process.
Requirements
Standard settings
This table contains entries that are used by the programs in the Claims Management component. Changing or deleting entries supplied by SAP constitutes a modification to the program. Such modifications are generally not necessary and should be avoided, as they can lead to errors.
You can create new entries in the customer namespace (identifier begins with "Y" or "Z"). These usually only have an effect on the component if you program using these values in the corresponding extensions of the program.
