Use

In this IMG activity you can define claims-specific document types and assign one or several ArchiveLink document types to these document types.

By assigning a claims-specific document type to several global ArchiveLink document types, it is possible to assign different categories of permitted documents to an internal claim type.

Requirements

Standard settings

SAP does not supply any claims-specific document types.

Activities

Define claims-specific document types:

  • Name of document type specific to claims management system

    The names Y* and Z* are valid for new document types. We recommend that you integrate the relevant component code and I (for Incoming) or O (for Outgoing) in the name.

  • Name of the global ArchiveLink document type

    The global ArchiveLink document type must be created in IMG activity Edit Document Types.

  • Long name of claims-specific document type

Note: Each claims-specific document type can be assigned to any number of ArchiveLink document types.

Assign document types to an internal claim type:

  1. On the initial screen of IMG activity Configure Internal Claim Types, mark the required internal claim type.
  2. Choose the selection button for the Claim Header level.
  3. Choose Change.
  4. Under Permitted Document Types, you can assign the newly defined claims-specific document types to the internal claim type.
