Use
In this IMG activity you define the payment reasons and bundle these into payment reason groups. The payment reason group is just a higher-level category of payment reasons.
In IMG activity Configure Benefit Type Trees, define the payment reason group for each permitted benefit type at the level of Benefit Type Tree: Determination of Payment Reason Group.
In IMG activity Configure Internal Claim Types, you assign a benefit type tree and thus the payment reason group for each permitted benefit type to a coverage type.
In accordance with these settings, the payment reason group is determined automatically by the system and is not visible to the clerk.
In claims processing, you can enter a payment reason on the Payment screen. The F4 input help only displays to the claim handler those payment reasons that you have defined for the relevant internal claim type.
This field is for information purposes only. You can also use it for evaluations.

In a state in the USA, legislation is such that in payments to injured persons, you must differentiate whether the injured person has one of the following roles:
- Pedestrian
- Passenger in insured vehicle
- Passenger in another vehicle involved
