Use
In this IMG activity you define question sequences for structured facts capture. This means that you can enter additional details to the facts on the basis of questions and answers. The data that has been captured in this way is available for all types of evaluation.
Note: A question sequence is always created for one or several specific facts capture categories. Before you create a question sequence, you must be sure of the facts capture category you want to create this question sequence for. Read the documentation on facts capture categories in IMG activity Enhance Facts Capture Categories. For example, the facts capture category governs which question group you can define (standard question group or quick question group).
In this IMG activity you can create standard question groups or quick question groups. You use the starting question to control which question group you create. On the Structured Facts Capture: Change screen, choose the @0Y@ icon with the text Create Starting Question, and on the next dialog screen select the required question group.
- Standard question group
Only one starting question is permitted. Proceeding from this starting question you can create any number of branches.
Within a standard question group you have the following options for configuring a question sequence:
- You can define any number of questions
- You can define any number of answers for each question
- You can use the Multiple Answers indicator to specify that the user can enter more than one answer to a question.
- You can store the same follow-on question for all answers to a question. This means that regardless of the answer that a user selects, the system always navigates to the same follow-on question (chain of questions/answers that depend on one another).
- You can define different follow-on questions for the different answers to a question (a question tree that branches off).
- Quick question group
You can use a quick question group to create a free sequence of question/answer pairs that are not inter-dependent. In contrast to the standard question group, several starting questions are possible. You can use the quick question group in
- a list of questions without follow-on questions
- questions that are to be answered with Yes or No. Here you can only define one follow-on question.
- By default, the answer option "Unknown" is also available here. You can deactivate this answer option. To do so, in the General Settings section, set the Deactivate Answer Option "Unknown" indicator.
In both the standard question group and the quick question group you can store an action of the Business Rule Framework (BRF) for each answer, and thus control claims processing. This action is executed if the user in claims processing selects the relevant answer (such as action N003 Clarify Road Conditions).
In IMG activity Configure Internal Claim Types you assign the structured question sequences defined here to an internal claim type. You do this at claim header level and dependent on the facts capture category.
Standard settings
The Claims Management application (ICL) is the default application.
