Use
You can use the following IMG activities to control the claims processing flow. You define which permitted function codesare available when and where in claims processing.
For example, in healthcare claims, you can define which function codes are available for processing claim item groupings.
"Processing of claim item groupings" comprises the following activities:
- Create new claim item groupings
- Copy new claim item groupings (this is the same as creating with a template)
- Delete existing claim item groupings
- Change status of a claim item grouping (such as Approve, Reverse, Reject).
SAP predefines which function codes are permitted for each process and node category of the navigation tree. In IMG activity Enhance Function Codes for Each Process you can add your own function codes.
In the following IMG activities you make the required settings for process control. You can also make the settings dependent on a specific process.
In the settings for the process you have the following options:
- You can define a process indicator for a healthcare process (such as HK for Medical Devices), meaning that the settings are only valid for this process.
- You can specify the process indicator + (for cross-process), or not specify any process indicator at all, meaning the settings are valid for all healthcare processes and for P&C insurance.
