Use

In this IMG activity you activate the scenario Claim Without Product Customizing.

This means that the Customizing settings for the product are not made in the claims system but taken from the policy system. This has the advantage that Customizing is clearly separated:

  • In the product system, you define products.
  • Customizing for claims processing (like which rules apply for processing of a claim) takes place in the claims management system.

If you use the scenario Claim Without Product Customizing, the screen for creating a claim is slightly different from the screen in the scenario Claim with Product Customizing. The differences are as follows:

  • You no longer need to specify a policy product.
  • Instead of the incident type, you enter the claim type.

Requirements

Only use the scenario Claim Without Product Customizing if product data is transferred along with contract data through the policy system interface.

Standard settings

Activities

If you want to use the scenario Claim Without Product Customizing , proceed as follows:

  1. In this IMG activity set the Without Product indicator.
  2. Perform the other IMG activities under Settings for Scenario "Claim Without Product Customizing"
  3. Of the customizing settings under Claims Management -> Claim , the following settings are relevant for the scenario Claim Without Product Customizing:
    • Business Settings
    • Structuring Business Processes
    • Technical Settings

      Perform the relevant IMG activities.

      The settings under Product Configuration and Process Control (Internal Claim Types) are not relevant for the scenario Claim Without Product Customizing.
