In this activity, you check the settings for indexes and switch these off in order to shorten the conversion runtime.
Program EWUINDEX lists the indexes affected by the changeover.
Activities
- Start the program.
- Delete the indexes in the database.
Further notes
If the indexes are deleted from the database, they remain defined in the data dictionary, enabling you to recreate the indexes following conversion.
In the Switch On Indexes activity you must activate the matchcodes again. You should therefore print a list of the names and attributes of the indexes switched off.
