The changeover package contains all the programs needed for the changeover. It is contained in the SAP Standard System. To be able to use the changeover package, you must first of all copy it from client 000. You can copy the package as often as you like.
Various packages are contained in the standard system:
- Standard package for the central changeover
You need this package whatever components you are using unless you are only using the FI-LC or EC-CS/SEM-BCS component.
- Package for Consolidation (FI-LC)
You need this package if you are using the FI-LC component.
- Package for Consolidation (EC-CS/SEM-BCS)
You need this package if you are using the EC-CS component.
Example 1
You are using several SAP components including the FI-LC component. To carry out the changeover, you need:
- The standard package
- The package for FI-LC
You carry out the central changeover using the standard package, such as on 02/15 in the changeover year. To do this, you copy the standard package. Consolidation is changed over separately, such as on 03/15. To do this, you copy the package for FI-LC.
Example 2
You are not using the FI-LC or EC-CS/SEM-BCS component. You only copy the standard package and carry out the central local currency changeover this way.
Example 3
You are only using the FI-LC or EC-CS/SEM-BCS component. You copy the corresponding Consolidation package and carry out conversion.

- The changeover package forms the basis for the runtime forecast. The system generates the respective runtime forecast package from the changeover package when you start the runtime forecast.
