In the purchase order header data, you can specify a fixed exchange rate. This is relevant for all currencies with set exchange rates that are participating in the euro.

If you change the purchase order currency from DM to EUR because you work with DM in your system, but the vendor is already working with the euro, the system checks whether the exchange rate entered corresponds with the fixed exchange rate that has been defined.

If it does not, you receive a message (ME608). This message can be set as a warning message or as an error message, depending on the user.

If the message is set as an error message, the user has to enter the exchange rate that has been defined.
