In this activity you make a backup so that you can reload the old dataset in case of a termination during the conversion. The activity includes stopping the R/3 System before the backup and restarting it afterwards.

Further notes

You have to carry out this activity immediately after you have deactivated logging.

Should the changeover terminate, you must reload the backup. After making the backup, you should thus check to see if the reloading function operates error-free. You could, for example, first create a backup of your production system and then create a test system using this backup.
