In this IMG activity, you define object screens and determine the possible field attributes for the object screens. In the relevant IMG activity, you assign the object screens to collateral object types. This assignment determines the attributes of the fields of screens, for collateral objects of the collateral object types.

You can maintain the following attributes for the object screens:

  • Hidden
  • Required entry
  • Optional entry
  • Display
  • Not specified.

Requirements

You must define the required screen structures in the relevant IMG activity and the required field groups in the Customizing of Business Data Toolset (BDT).

Activities

  1. To create new object screens, choose Edit -> New Entries. You can also use the copy function to create new object screens. To do this, choose Edit -> Copy as. When you copy object screens, the accompanying field attributes of the object screens are also copied.
  2. Look at the standard field status groups.
  3. For each collateral object type, determine the fields on the entry screens that should have statuses such as required for input and hidden.
  4. Save your entries.
