In this step, you set up residence times that relate to the archiving of all documents relevant for subsequent settlement.
These are:
- Documents relevant to business volume
- Purchase orders/delivery schedules (MM_EKKO)
- Vendor billing documents (WLF)
- Single settlement requests (WZR)
- Settlement documents
- Credit memos (old) (FI_DOCUMENT)
- Customer billing documents (SD_VBRK)
- Vendor billing documents (WLF)
In the relevant archiving reports of the archiving objects indicated in the brackets, validation is carried out to ensure that documents cannot be archived if they contain conditions or header data relating to arrangements for which settlement accounting has not been performed, or that have a residence time that has not expired (according to the valid-to date).
The residence times specified here work together with the residence times of the aforementioned archiving objects that you have maintained in Purchasing/Sales.

Recommendation
Please note that a recompilation of the statistics data and a detailed statement for an arrangement is only possible for the business-relevant documents and settlement documents in the system.
Therefore you are advised not to archive these documents too soon.

Validation of residence periods can be deactivated in table TNTRABR (transaction WMN9).
If making changes in this table, please be very careful, and only do so if you do not use Subsequent Settlement.
