Use
You can set up the Uniform Packaging Service (UPS) automatically, without defining settings manually, using the preceding settings for the ALE distribution unit.
You can let the system automatically make the following settings for the ALE distribution unit, and then display the results:
- Generation of object type levels
Generates the posting sequence for object types in the UPS as a preparation for the serialization of object types
- Generation of event registration
To be able to monitor the generated IDocs, the UPS registers, for each object type, for an event in outbound processing and an event in inbound processing.
- Setting up of UPS IDoc serialization
Ensures that UPS-specific messages are posted in the correct sequence.
The system shows any errors that occur in the log.
Requirements
You have made the Customizing settings for the UPS:
- Execute Central Settings for Distribution
- Define Object Types
- Define Packet Types
- ALE Distribution Unit: Setup
Activities
- Check the results of the reports in their logs.
