Use

You can define the packet types that can be used in the distribution of ALE distribution units. The following settings are necessary for this:

  • Object types for packet type

You define which object types are allowed in each packet type. You can filter out objects that have been sent or posted by using the distribution status. You can allow or disallow corrections in the source and/or target system. Predecessor determination allows you to serialize several product states.

  • Automatic Business Transaction Control (Outbound)

You define for each packet type how it is to be posted in the target system: automatically or manually.

  • Automatic Business Transaction Control (Inbound)

You define for each packet type how it is to be sent in the source system: automatically or manually.

  • Confirmation to sender

In the target system you determine the status changes that are to be reported to the source system.

    You should schedule regular confirmations

Standard settings

SAP delivers the following settings in the standard system:

  • No comparison with the replication table
  • No corrections allowed in source or target system
  • No predecessor determination
  • No automatic business transaction control
  • Confirmations always with statuses Rejected and Posted
