In this activity you define action controls for Warranty Processing.
Use
You assign an action control to each warranty claim type and thereby determine the procedure for automatic and manual warranty processing for each warranty claim type.
You define warranty claim types in Customizing for Warranty Claim Processing under (Define) Warranty Claim Types
Requirements
Standard settings
The following action controls are provided in the standard system:
- AP02 Action control in which all standard actions are allowed (for example, for testing)
- AP03 Action control for precrediting (process in which the warranty claimant is credited before a reply is received from the reimbursing party)
- AP01 Action control for postcrediting (process in which the warranty claimant is not credited until a reply has been received from the reimbursing party)
- AP04 Action control for authorized goodwill
- AP05 Action control for recall
Activities
Define a key and description for each action control.
Define an action matrix for each action control. Define the possible actions for each start processing status and the resulting target processing status. For each start processing status, indicate one action for automatic processing.
Example
If you enter A* as an action, all actions that begin with A can be processed for this processing status.
If you do not enter a start processing status, the entry relates to the initial processing status.
