In this activity you define the actions that you require for warranty processing.

Use

The actions you define here represent the actions you can use for processing warranty claims automatically and manually. Actions that can be triggered manually are displayed in an action box for the warranty claim.

You define the sequence of the possible actions and the processing statuses in Customizing for Warranty Processing, under Process Control --> Define Action Controls.

Requirements

Standard settings

The actions provided in the standard system cover many standard processes. You can program and include your own actions as required.

Activities

  1. Define an action code and a desciption. State whether the action is an elementary or interlinking action and whether or not it is to be displayed in the action box for the warranty claim.
  2. For elementary actions, specify which function module the system is to call at the start of the action to process the action.
  3. For interlinked actions, specify which subordinate actions make up the interlinked action and the sequence in which they are to be processed.
