When using a CO production order (production order without quantity structure) use the planning profile to create the prerequisites for a preliminary costing of the production order without quantity structure.

The preliminary costing of a production order without quantity structure is effected with unit costing. Through the planning profile, you can specify the default costing variant for the preliminary costing of the production order without quantity structure. To do so, enter the costing variant in the planning profile. Then, enter the planning profile in the order type (also see: Check Order Types for PP and CO Manufacturing Orders). When you create a production order of this order type, the costing variant is then transferred into the production order without quantity structure.

Prerequisites

You must already have specified a costing variant for the preliminary costing of production orders without quantity structure (see also: Check Costing Variants for CO Production Orders).

Standard Settings

The SAP system supplies you with a standard planning profile setting. Check to make sure that this planning profile meets your requirements.
