In this process step you create a valuation variant for the concurrent costing with which you include all the parameters for the valuation of a costing. You should note that for the concurrent costing special master data for concurrent costing is used in addition to the master data in the material master. You can find detailed information about this master data in the SAP library for the Industry Business Solution Discrete Industries.
Yo also need to specify here which costing sheets are used to determine overhead.
Valuation strategies
- Material valuation
This is where you specify in which order the system finds prices from the accounting view or costing view of the material master record to value the materials. You can access prices from purchasing info records and condition types.
- Activity types/processes
This is where you specify in which order the system finds prices from the activity type planning or actual price calculation in cost center accounting for valuing the internal activities and business processes used
You also specify which plan or actual version is to be used.
- Overhead
You can link the valuation variant for defining overhead with a costing sheet. If you want to differentiate overhead according to material groups you have to make the necessary settings for the costing sheet used in overhead groups defined and in the process stepdefine costing sheets.
You can in addition specify if overhead for subcontracted materials is to be determined in the material cost estimate.
