In this process step you specify the technical attributes of the concurrent costing.
You should note that the price update is not supported for concurrent costing, and neither is the partner version active in this scenario. You can only save a concurrent costing on the basis of a focus or assembly group.
If you do not want to roll up the chances and risks which you have maintained in the concurrent costing master data for this concurrent costing, you have to remove the indicator include chances and risks on the tab page other.
The costing type specifies
- the basis on which the overhead is determined.
Enter a cost component view for this. This view specifies what proportion of the cost components are included in the inventory valuation, the commercial inventory valuation and the tax-based inventory valuation. The system generates an itemization for each cost cost component view, listing the individual items entered in the costing.
If, for example, semifinished products have been entered in the costing the costs of which contain costs of goods manufactured, sales and administration costs and so on, you can determine the material overhead only on the basis of the costs of goods manufactured for the semifinished product by entering the cost component view "01" (costs of goods manufactured) as the overhead base.

If you want to cost parallel values, you have to do the following:
- In Customizing General Controlling, check the settings for parallel valuation.
- In Customizing Enterprise Controlling, check the assignment of the operative valuation from the currency and valuation profile to the controlling area:

Standard settings
Costing type 27, the simulation costing, has been predefined for the concurrent costing.
