In this step, you define the selection variants for the print program which creates internal documents. You store the selection variants by company code and correspondence type.
Generally, only the following fields are relevant for a selection variant:
- Form set
If you use different forms for a print program, you must create one variant for each form set.
- Sender details
If you want to use different sender details for each print program, for example, signature lines.
- Sorting the output
- Number of lines of the address that are to be issued for the customer or vendor specifications.
- Printer
If several company codes print internal documents, you generally need the same number of variants since every company code uses a different printer.
All other fields are used if the letters are to be issued directly by the print program.
Activities
- Find out how many selection variants you need.
- Create the required selection variants.
- Store the selection variants within configuration.
