The reference plant is used to reduce maintenance effort for the following master data:
- planning calendar
- planning cycle
- range of coverage profile
- rounding profile
Using the function, "reference plant", you only need to maintain this master data in one plant (in the reference plant). The other plants that want to use the same master data maintain a link to the reference plant. In this way, all the master data that has been maintained in the reference plant is automatically available for the assigned plants.
Requirements
You must maintain the master data listed above in the reference plant.
Activities
Assign the reference plant to the plants that want to work with the master data recorded in the reference plant.
