In this step, you maintain the message output if you make the wrong entry of the requirements type.
To be able to find the correct requirements type when maintaining the planned independent requirements and the customer requirements, you should assign one or more planning strategies to the materials for which you want to create sales orders and/or planned independent requirements. These strategies are grouped together in a planning group and are allocated to the materials in the material master record.
Once you have maintained this allocation, when you are in demand management, the system selects the requirements type from the plan ning strategy and proposes the main strategy. You then have the option of overwriting this requirements type by another one that is also recorded in the strategy group. The system checks whether the requirements type that you enter is contained in the strategy group.
In this step, you can define whether an error message or a warning is to be displayed if the requirements type that you enter in demand management is not contained in the strategy group.
