The contract profile contains values for contract data that can be proposed when you create a contract.

You can define the following default values

  • Date determination rule for contract start date
  • Date determination rule for contract end date
  • Validity period category
  • Cancellation procedure
  • Follow-up action to be carried out before the contract expires
  • Date determination rule that specifies when the follow-up action is to be carried out

You enter the contract profile on the detail screen of the sales document type (for example, a rental contract MV). You can overwrite the default values in the contract.

Activities

  1. If you want to create a new contract profile, enter an alphanumeric key with a maximum of four characters and a brief descriptive text.
  2. Enter the default values for the contract data on the detail screen.
  3. Enter the contract profile in the contract type for which the default values are to be used.
