You define the output determination procedures in this step and allocate them to the respective account groups.

You store the allowed output types in the output determination procedures for each account group.

To define output determination procedures, you have to make the following entries:

  • Procedure

    Alphanumeric key with up to 6 characters which clearly identifies an output determination procedure

  • Description

    Text for the description of the output determination procedure

In addition, you specify the output types which should be contained in this procedure on the detail screen.

Requirements

  • The output types have to be defined before you can include them in an output determination procedure.
  • The account groups have to be defined before you can allocate them to an output determination procedure. The defined account groups are automatically proposed for allocation.

Note

You can only allocate one output determination procedure to each account group.

Recommendation

To define a new output determination procedure, copy a similar, existing procedure and make the necessary changes.

If you define your own output determination procedures, the key of the output determination procedure should start with the letters Y or Z since SAP keeps these letters free in the standard SAP R/3 System.

Actions

  1. Check to what extent you can use the output determination procedures contained in the standard SAP R/3 System. Also check the allocation of the output determination procedures to the account groups.
  2. Define the output determination procedures.
  3. Finally, allocate the output determination procedures to the account groups.
