If an error occurs during data transfer in decentralized shipping, the system can automatically send a mail to the person in charge. In this step you specify whether mail users should be informed, and if so, which mail users. The settings can be controlled separately depending on which errors occur.
The record type informs you of the sent or received data for which errors occurred, for example, whether the error occurred when creating a delivery or a material master record. For each record type, you can specify whether or not the user should be informed, and if so, which mail user.
You can also control whether the mail is should be sent as an express mail and whether the mail should be placed in the outbox folder.
Note
If no mail user is found, the user SD_VL11 is taken as default user.
Example
Requirements
Standard settings
The SAP standard delivery contains the following record types:
- SDVA: errors occurred in the delivery header when creating a delivery
- SDVB: errors occurred at item level when creating a delivery
- SDVC: errors occurred when creating a material master
- SDVD: errors concerning storage locations occurred when creating a material master
All shipping record types can be masked with SDV*, and all record types can be masked with ****.
Recommendation
Actions
- For each record type, specify the mail user who should be informed when the corresponding error occurs.
The mail user is only informed if you have also flagged the Infomail field accordingly.
- If necessary, specify whether the mail should be sent as an express mail, or whether it should be placed in the mail outbox.
