In this menu option, you can define a value type for each CAPP method. You use these value types to specify in which fields in the operation in the routing (standard values/parameter ID) the method result is to be entered after a standard value calculation.

Using the parameter ID you also specify which dimension (TIME, VOLUME etc.) the method results have.

Only an appropriate unit can be entered in the method

Note

  • The value type can also be used when searching for methods.
  • Changing value types or the parameter IDs assigned to them has an effect on the results of standard value calculations with CAPP. For this reason, you should carry out all changes before using CAPP productively.
  • If you define new value types, this does not affect the existing data.

Example

You can name value types (for example, using the REFA standard) or define ones which do not represent time values:

Requirements
You must have created the parameter IDs in the menu option "Define formula parameters for work centers".
Recommendation
For the value types, you should only use parameter IDs which are contained in the standard value keys of the work centers for which you want to calculate standard values with CAPP.
Actions
  1. Define in which CAPP method you want to use the value type.
  2. Define the work center where you want to use these methods.
  3. Check the basic data in the work center to see which standard value key is used.
  4. Check the parameter ID in the standard value key for the work center.
