In this menu option, you create the keys used to identify costing items. You use these keys to categorize the cost elements to which materials are assigned.

You can then calculate overhead, variances, and so on, for each cost element/origin.

These keys are transferred to the master record of the materials.

Requirements

You must have defined a "controlling area".

Standard settings

The standard system contains pre-defined origins which you can copy into your own controlling area without having to make further settings.

Actions

  1. Check the origins in the standard system.
  2. If necessary, create new origins by specifying the following:
    • a controlling area
    • a key
    • a name
